The OTIO smoke detector (or DAFF for Autonomous Smoke Detector) is a reliable and quick way to detect the smoke of a fire.
Application
Smoke detectors should be placed high up, either on the ceiling or on a wall about ten centimetres from the ceiling, to catch smoke at height. It is recommended that a smoke detector is placed in a location where most rooms intersect (landing or corridor) and close to bedrooms to ensure that a night-time alarm is heard by everyone. It is advisable not to install detectors in kitchens and bathrooms to avoid the risk of the alarm being triggered by hot steam.
Benefits
This compact OTIO smoke detector has an autonomy of 5 years, is easy to install and requires no electrical connection.
Advices
Do not paint.
How to use
In the presence of smoke, the detector sets off a powerful alarm to warn the occupants to evacuate.
